- To preserve and maintain the cemetery and all fencing and monuments located on the site of Wessyngton Plantation, Cedar Hill, Robertson County, Tennessee in which former enslaved people of African American descent and certain of their descendants are buried.
- To preserve the history of the enslaved African American people who lived and worked on the site of the Wessyngton Plantation located in Robertson County, Tennessee.
- To preserve the culture, stories, and landmarks that emanate from the history of the enslaved people who lived and worked on the site of the Wessyngton Plantation.
- To promote and develop educational programs related to the Wessyngton African American Cemetery and the history and culture of the enslaved people who lived and worked at the Wessyngton Plantation.
- To gather information, develop projects, and preserve the history of the Wessyngton Plantation.
